Brief Bio
Dr. Muglach is a PHaSER sceintist working in the Space Weather Laboratory of NASA Goddard. She is also affiliated with NASA Goddard's Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC). She is a leading experts in observational solar physics and solar image analysis. Dr. Muglach plays a vital role in validating space weather forecasts issued by CCMC for NASA missions and the international space weather community.
Dr. Muglach has hands-on experience with ground-based solar telescopes as well as analysing data from NASA space missions including SoHO, TRACE, Hinode, STEREO, SDO and IRIS.
Research intersts
A broad range of topics in solar physics, including:
- solar magnetic field measurements,
- flows and dynamics of the lower atmosphere,
- formation and evolution of filaments,
- initiationof coronal mass ejections
- Space Weather forecasting
